p/>Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a passion for working with children Knowledge of recreation philosophy, planning and administration; Knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in a comprehensive community recreation programs; Must have the physical ability to lead and participate in camp activities which may include running, swimming, hiking, lifting, team building initiatives, physical games, and creative programs; Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment; Ability to work in a variety of climates, indoor and outdoor, and may include Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders, and the general public; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; General knowledge of State of Colorado licensing rules and regulation, Colorado Department of Health and the Environment rules and regulation. Duties are currently related to the following programs:
Afterschool Action Program, ASSET Clubs, School Days Off, Kid’s Night Out, Summer Camps, Theme Camps, Community Events.
