Plans, directs and coordinates activities involved in the acquisition, decontamination, storage, assembly, cleaning and sterilization of medical surgical and related supplies, materials, and equipment utilized in the care and treatment of patients and the operation of Sterile Processing. Interacts regularly with Operating Room staff, advising physicians, nurses and other personnel regarding products, supplies, equipment, services, instrumentation and other issues necessary to perform designated patient care medical and surgical procedures.
