This role works closely with freight carriers, internal teams, and customers to help ensure shipments move efficiently and delivery issues are resolved quickly. This is a hands-on coordination role focused on daily transportation support, carrier communication, shipment tracking, and freight-related problem solving.
p>Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Logistics Manager works closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Global Trade Compliance, and Finance to ensure logistics execution aligns with operational priorities, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound logistics, shipping and receiving, and warehouse operations in support of AstroNova's manufacturing, repair, and aftermarket businesses globally.
Coordinate with all SPIROL sites globally, identifying and implementing sourcing strategies with a focus on reduced total cost of ownership and supply chain risks. Proactively monitor and report on all factors which could impact supply (legislative, environmental, political, geographic, supplier issues) and communicate effectively with the global team.
Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management Military/Navy experience Familiarity with construction sequencing, packaging, outfitting of sub-assemblies, ship readiness and major units of manufacturing work Previous EB experience or similar manufacturing operations/planning experience A working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning principles and systems awareness of EWP/PCM/ APICS involvement is a plus Knowledge of various ERP software systems Skills PC computer skills Organizational skills Proficiency with computers, notably MS Office Suite and Outlook. Controlling work orders/packages (plan ERs, MEPs, NCR, fixtures, consumables material, production material, etc.) Assisting Operation Supervisors in identifying and prioritizing shop/work cell capacity Collecting and reporting status of job progress Reporting close-out/completion of jobs Maintaining electronic work package status Performing tactical problem solving.
Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Board and other key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure full mutual understanding of the projects' strategic and delivery objectives, to report on and review project performance, and to agree solutions that resolve complex issues. Our team work closely with the supply chain to design and construct road projects, as well as develop a pipeline of possible projects as we look to the future.Our skills span many areas from customer experts, land and property advisers to project management.
