p>Qualified Candidates Are Required To Have: • Completed an approved fellowship program and certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) or foreign equivalent • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Pennsylvania • Early and mid-career surgeons with focused interest on complex coronary revascularization (CABG) and VAD surgery are encouraged to apply • Experience in on-pump, off-pump, and multi-arterial CABG is required • Experience in Robotic CABG and MID-CABG approaches is preferred but not required • Senior mentorship can be provided by renowned CABG surgeon, Dr. Francis Sutter • Proven ability to collaborate and effectively communicate within an interdisciplinary team and with referring physicians to provide high-quality patient care • Communicate regularly and effectively with families and patients regarding plan of care • Demonstrate orientation toward providing evidence-based, patient-centered care, quality and process improvement, and team building • Possess proven leadership skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills; experience with EMR is a significant plus • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job • Perform other related duties as assigned.
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for working with the cardiac surgical and cardiology teams to maintain and grow the cardiac surgical program with a focus on:
• Heart failure/VAD • Advanced coronary revascularization techniques including on/off-pump CABG • Multi-arterial grafting • Robotic/MID-CABG and hybrid CABG/PCI options.
