Admit patients to the pre-operative unit, obtain vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, perform pre and post operative teaching, start IV, and chart all interventions in the patient medical record. Obtain vital signs, provide po fluids/snacks as tolerated, perform/reinforce post-operative teaching, and provide patient with written post-op instructions, including medication reconciliation.
