Conduct hospital rounds, respond to inpatient consults, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient plans of care; perform wound care, assess surgical incisions, conduct pulse and vascular examinations, review laboratory results, manage IV fluids, Foley catheters, and medications; coordinate daily disposition planning, complete patient transfers and downgrades, consult with appropriate services regarding transfer of care, and complete all discharges and follow-up planning with appropriate documentation. Provide support to scheduled outpatient office hours to evaluate, treat, and follow up with patients; answer and triage patient calls; review and coordinate ordered surgical cases; complete patient forms and documentation; and conduct peer-to-peer insurance reviews to support authorization and continuity of care.
