The right person likes making physical things, works carefully with their hands, understands that details matter, and takes pride in producing a finished object that is both technically correct and beautifully made. Prior experience in assembly, fabrication, electrical work, cabinetry, millwork, automotive work, metalworking, manufacturing, construction, or another hands-on trade is helpful but not required for someone with exceptional mechanical ability.
