Performs all essential job functions of the RN Surgical Services including but not limited to providing pre-op, intra-op and post-op care to surgical patients, administering medications, patient assessment and care planning, patient safety advocate, point of contact for patient care coordination, may delegate tasks as appropriate, manages patient care in the OR and coordinates needs of the team with care providers, keeps accurate records, operated equipment, and anticipated the needs of the surgical team. The OR Registered Nurse Specialty Coordinator provides direct and indirect patient care in surgical specialties utilizing the nursing process and current clinical knowledge to provide professional nursing care for all patients in the surgical unit in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.
