Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, suctioning (ETT, NT), and care of patients with multisystem organ failure. Care for patients with conditions such as open heart surgery, MI, Impella, IABP, trauma, neuro cases, proning, CRRT/NextStage CRRT, CABG, post cardiac arrest, post-surgical care (Whipple, liver resection, amputations), respiratory distress, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, overdose, and nitric oxide therapy.
