Job Title: Surgical Technician-NCA Profession: Tech Specialty: Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 06:30-15:00, call 1 night a week and every 4th weekend Experience: Two (2) years of Surgical Tech experience, experience in ortho, general, vascular, urology, thoracic License: BLS Certifications: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) Must-Have: Aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, surgical equipment, medical terminology, metric system Description: The Surgical Technician-NCA assists other members of the health care team in delivering patient care during the intra-operative period. The Surgical Technician must be knowledgeable of specific procedures or specialties, effectively prioritize, and problem-solve due to the changing nature of the work situation during surgical procedures.
