Plans, organizes, coordinates, and monitors municipal capital improvement program (CIP) and SPLOST project design/construction and associated activities; coordinates and participates in programming processes including project prioritization, definition, and scope; Prepares project cost estimates, scopes for civil design services, bid documents, reviews bids from contractors and performs contract administration in concert with the Citys procurement and legal staff. Public works projects include but are not limited to the following types of projects: roadway capacity, shared-use path/sidewalk improvements and streetscapes, storm sewer infrastructure, bridge maintenance and construction, erosion and sediment control, traffic control and intersection improvements, utilities coordination and relocation, retention, and detention pond designs and/or other related design projects.
