Other duties: Acts as party chief for a field survey crew engaged in making plans and/or geodetic surveys for construction, topographic, right-of-way, and control survey projects; participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives; assigns and monitors work, and provides input for evaluation of members of the field survey crew; is the senior field surveyor in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures. The Survey Party Chief will plan and evaluate proposed field survey projects, manage the field survey teams, prepare, process, and coordinate the required field design survey work and construction staking survey work and other surveys and daily survey logs as part of public and private commercial, residential, and industrial development projects based on client's intent/vision, budget, timeline, jurisdictional requirements, and community needs and concerns.
