The Engineer IV – Electrical (Sustainability) provides specialized electrical engineering expertise and technical support to the BuildLACCD Sustainability Strike Team throughout planning, scoping, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout of sustainability and energy-related capital improvement projects across the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD).Working under the direction of the Sustainability Strike Team Lead, this position serves as an electrical engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting multiple Project Managers and initiatives across the Districtwide portfolio. The portfolio includes Energy Information Systems (EIS), Sustainability and Climate Action Roadmap, Building Management Systems (BMS), Central Plant and Local Building Decarbonization, Central Plant optimization, LED lighting upgrades, energy efficiency retrofits, renewable energy systems, Photovoltaic (PV), microgrids, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, electrification, and other sustainability-related capital improvement projects.
