The primary responsibilities include conducting routine interior and exterior security patrols; monitoring surveillance cameras, access control, intrusion detection, fire/life-safety, and other security systems; responding appropriately to alarms, emergencies, suspicious activity, and security-related incidents; securing and monitoring designated areas of the facility; assisting with after-hours contractors and authorized personnel; completing Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports; and promptly communicating significant security, safety, maintenance, or operational concerns to the Shift Lead and Security Management. Role Overview: The Part-Time Security Specialist (3rd Shift) is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment for Indiana State Museum & Historic Sites (ISMHS) employees, visitors, collections, exhibits, facilities, and state property during overnight operations.
