Primary duties/responsibilities include assigning, grading, and providing feedback on assignments, class work, homework, and tests; attending in-service training, unit meetings, and workshops; contributing in meetings with communities, departments, districts, parents, and school(s); facilitating active learning by assigning and preparing classroom curriculum; implementing strategies to encourage, instruct, and monitor to optimize student learning; maintaining comprehensive and precise records of student progress and required documentation; participating in academic, extracurricular, and professional support activities; positively correcting inconducive behavior in accordance with district procedures and rules; using the latest technologies to differentiate and support future-ready instruction; and performing other duties as assigned. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills; the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously; a high degree of confidentiality, motivation, and responsibility; being a highly collaborative team player; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.); and the ability to identify areas of improvement and opportunity and follow-up to obtain results.
