Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM.Position Purpose: This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand childrens ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for childrens developmental needs. Positions may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers for program operations.Pay Range: The current hourly wage ranges from $16.55 - $23.99 depending on education level and experience. Preferred Experience: Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years and holding:<ul><li>A higher education degree with 18 credit hours of foundational Early Childhood courses completed, or</li><li>A current Infant/Toddler CDA</li></ul>Minimum requirements: <ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent certificate AND some college coursework OR ongoing ECE professional development.</li><li>Willing to obtain CDA within the first year of hire. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support to obtain a teachers qualification, including CDA support and coaching.</li><li>Three months of previous experience working with children and/or youth in a professional setting.</li><li>Criminal Background Check required for hire.</li></ul>The position is open until filled.
