What Youll GainLeadership opportunity to build and mentor your own civil engineering teamUnmatched support from an 80-year-strong firm with robust technical and corporate resourcesCareer-defining growth through client interaction, team building, and market expansionGoals & ResponsibilitiesThis position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of engineering professionalsProvide leadership and oversight on municipal and private development projectsDrive market growth by building client relationships, responding to RFPs, and networkingServe as a technical resource for staff training, quality control, and project managementDevelop, execute, and oversee strategic client relationship plansAct as the primary point of contact for clients and subconsultantsCollaborate with leadership across Axiom and Ruekert & Mielke to execute corporate strategiesQualifications & SkillsThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) registration in Iowa (or ability to obtain)Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, including 5+ years in project management and/or business development rolesBroad experience across water distribution, sanitary sewage collection, water resources, transportation, land development, permitting, and constructionProven experience with client interaction, business development, proposal preparation, and contract negotiationStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive both independently and within a team environment, while managing deadlines effectivelyBenefitsAxiom Consultants is proud to be 100% employee owned.
