The Customer Service Specialists works in a fast-paced environment answering inbound calls and making outbound calls. Maybe responsible for obtaining, analyze, and verify the accuracy of information received from referrals, create orders, and or schedule the patient to receive equipment as ordered by their doctor. Customer Service Specialists should educate Patients of their financial responsibility when applicable.</p><div><h1>Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company</li><li>Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, in adherence to their goals</li><li>Document all call information according to standard operating procedures</li><li>Answer questions about products and services, retail stores, general service line information and other information as necessary based on customer call needs</li><li>Process orders, route calls to appropriate resource and follow up on customer calls where necessary</li><li>Review all required documentation to ensure accuracy</li><li>Accurately process, verify, and/or submit documentation and orders</li><li>Complete insurance verification to determine patient’s eligibility, coverage, co-insurances, and deductibles</li><li>Obtain pre-authorization if required by an insurance carrier and process physician orders to insurance carriers for approval and authorization when required</li><li>Must be able to navigate through multiple online EMR systems to obtain applicable documentation</li><li>Enter and review all pertinent information in EMR system including authorizations and expiration dates</li><li>Communicate with Customer Service and Management on an on-going basis regarding any noticed trends with insurance companies</li><li>Verify insurance carriers are listed in the company’s database system, if not request the new carrier is entered</li><li>Responsible for contacting patient when documentation received does not meet payer guidelines to provide updates and offer additional options to facilitate the referral process.</li><li>Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics</li><li>Facilitate resolution on customer complaints and problem solving</li><li>Pays attention to detail and has great organizational skills</li><li>Actively listens to patients and handle stressful situations with compassion and empathy</li><li>Flexible with the actual work and the hours of operation</li><li>Utilize company provided tools to maintain quality. This position provides first level technical assistance, troubleshooting, and customer service for computer hardware, software, classroom technology, and campus systems. The IT Help Desk Technician supports teaching, learning, and administrative operations while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, service quality, and information security.</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS<br/>1. Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.    Bachelor's degree preferred. <br/>2.	Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common desktop applications. <br/>3.	Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. <br/>4.	Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues using a logical and methodical approach. <br/>5.	Ability to work effectively with a diverse campus community, including students, faculty, and staff. <br/>6.	Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA, data privacy, and institutional policies.<br/><br/>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<br/>1.	Experience providing IT support in a higher education or public sector environment. <br/>2.	Familiarity with Microsoft 365, learning management systems, and enterprise IT environments. <br/>3.	Experience using IT ticketing systems and remote support tools. <br/>4.	Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft).<br/><strong></strong></p>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/>1.	Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests via ticketing system, phone, email, and in person assistance. <br/>2.	Provide timely, courteous, and effective technical support to faculty, staff, and students with varying levels of technical proficiency. <br/>3.	Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, and peripherals. <br/>4.	Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and college supported technologies. <br/>5.	Assist users with account access issues, including password resets and authentication, in accordance with security policies. <br/>6.	Support classroom and instructional technology, including projectors, computers, and audio visual equipment. <br/>7.	Respond to classroom technology issues during instructional hours as assigned. <br/>8.	Accurately document service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system. <br/>9.	Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate IT staff while maintaining ownership of the request. <br/>10.	Assist with technology deployments, refresh cycles, inventory tracking, and IT projects as assigned. <br/>11.	Follow all College policies related to information security, FERPA, acceptable use, and data privacy. <br/>12.	Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student, employee, and institutional information. <br/>13.	Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings. <br/>14.
