Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Associate BLS for healthcare provider CPR Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Work, OR; EMT-B, License in the State of Illinois PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Six or more months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Able to communicate effectively in person; by telephone; and computer messaging Six or more months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients. The emergency department technician I performs basic patient care procedures to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients, including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, performing ECG's, post-mold application, crutch-walk teaching, spinal immobilization, basic wound care, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes.
