Qualifications: A strong candidate will have:Several years of professional automotive repair experienceBroad knowledge across multiple vehicle makes and systemsExperience with brakes, suspension, steering, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, drivability, and general mechanical repairStrong inspection and diagnostic skillsThe ability to work independentlyGood judgment about what a used vehicle needsClear repair documentationTheir own basic automotive technician toolsA valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, since vehicle road testing is an essential part of the positionDealership, independent repair shop, fleet, rental, and other professional automotive experience may all be relevant. Responsibilities: As part of our used vehicle reconditioning operation, you will:Perform comprehensive mechanical inspections on pre-owned vehiclesWork on domestic, import, car, truck, and SUV inventoryDiagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, HVAC, brake, steering, suspension, and other vehicle concernsPerform maintenance and repairs needed to prepare vehicles for retail saleIdentify safety-related and necessary reconditioning itemsDocument inspection findings and repair needs clearlyWork with Parts and Used Vehicle management to keep vehicles moving through the reconditioning process.
