SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must apply for the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) exam within two (2) months of the date he/she completes four hundred (400) hours of work as a Sterile Processing Technician; Possession of a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Certification as issued by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) within eighteen (18) months of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment; or: Possession of a Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) Certification as issued by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) within eighteen (18) months of appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment.
