<div><div><div><div><div><div> Title: Aerial Groundhand (Traveling) Immediate Supervisor: Crew Supervisor, Operations Manager, Director, Owner Position: Exempt Non-Exempt<h1 style="margin-top:13.65pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:5pt;font-size:16px;font-family:'times new roman' , serif;line-height:13.75pt">General Job Summary:</h1>The Ground Hand is responsible for performing tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of telecommunications jobs, lines or systems as assigned.<h1 style="margin-top:13.65pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:5pt;font-size:16px;font-family:'times new roman' , serif;line-height:13.75pt">Principal duties and Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Operate Bucket truck following all safety and traffic regulations.</li><li>Assist with pole framing and placement of stands.</li><li>Climb poles as required.</li><li>Operate hand and power tools of all types.</li><li>Assist with installation of guys and anchors.</li><li>Clean and prepare sites.</li><li>Assist with direction of traffic flow in accordance with local D.O.T. guidelines.</li><li>All other duties as required</li></ul> <h1 style="margin-top:1.85pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:5pt;font-size:16px;font-family:'times new roman' , serif">POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</h1><ul><li>1-2 years' experience with Telcom construction preferred, but not required.</li><li>Experience with both coaxial and fiber optic plant is preferred, but not a requirement.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of construction prints as well as ability to read prints.</li><li>Technical Skills: Ability to operate bucket and climb poles.</li><li>Ability to operate hand and power tools.</li><li>Soft Skills: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.</li><li>Effective listening, interacting and writing skills.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.</li><li>Individuals must have a valid driver's license and pass MVR.</li><li>Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes.</li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.</li><li>Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.</li><li>May be required to work long and unpredictable hours</li></ul> (This is not a complete listing of all duties and responsibilities. We use best-in-class ticket and claims management systems to ensure clear and complete mark-out services for the excavator or property owner at the work site.Your Responsibilities as a Locator:<ul><li>Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.</li><li>Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.</li></ul>These are daytime, full-time positions. We have a 48-hour turnaround time on many locates, which means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends, as needed.
