How you'll make an impact in this role:
<ul><li>Guard patient safety by providing vigilant, real-time heart rhythm monitoring for those in critical care, acting as the first line of defense against cardiac complications.</li><li>Facilitate rapid clinical responses by immediately identifying and communicating significant rhythm changes to nurses and physicians, ensuring life-saving interventions happen without delay.</li><li>Champion data integrity by meticulously documenting cardiac journeys, providing the medical team with the high-quality records they need for accurate diagnosis and treatment.</li><li>Ensure operational readiness by managing specialized monitoring equipment and inventory, so the team always has the functional tools required to provide uninterrupted care.</li></ul>

What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:<ul><li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.<ul><li>Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.</li></ul></li></ul>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>You will assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms. Verifying correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintaining EKG monitor alarms and responding to all alarms as needed.</li><li>Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.</li><li>Completing EKG interpretations including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.</li><li>Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by RN.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.</li></ul> Preferred qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*, Licensed Paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training  (*LPNs are limited to working as telemetry tech only.)</li></ul>
