Associate's degree; supplemented by three (3) years experience using hand tools, general construction, and traffic signal construction and maintenance, including one (1) year of project management experience; OR High school diploma or GED; completion of a certificate program at a Technical College in a related field; supplemented by six (6) years experience using hand tools, general construction, and traffic signal construction and maintenance, including two (2) years of project management experience; OR High school diploma or GED; supplemented by ten (10) years experience using hand tools, general construction and traffic signal construction and maintenance, including four (4) years of project management experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Installs, maintains, and operates traffic signals and related components including: traffic signals, battery back-up systems, variable message signs, computerized traffic control systems, school zone flasher assemblies, warning flashers, traffic signal controllers, vehicle detection systems, time clocks, surveillance cameras, fiber optic cable, radio communication system components, Ethernet network communication equipment, emergency vehicle detectors, pedestrian signals, and related other related devices.
