Unit-Specific Certifications (Depending on your assigned department, the following are required to be maintained throughout employment): ACLS Certification : Required before the completion of clinical orientation if assigned to: Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, Snuggery, Cardiovascular Lab, Interventional Radiology, GI Center, or Urgent Care. As an RN, you hold primary accountability for organizing, managing, and delivering comprehensive nursing care to your assigned group of patients within the scope of the New York State Nurse Practice Act.
