Duties include but are not limited to: responding to pipeline damages, repairs and replacements to below-ground gas pipelines and fittings, working in conditions where natural gas is present, responding to customer calls/concerns, completing customer meter orders (blocking, unblocking, pulling meters for testing, painting meters, conducting zero use and high bill complaint investigations), performing above ground leak repairs, performing underground line locating, conducting leak survey and atmospheric corrosion surveys, performing valve maintenance work, and conducting odorant checks. Must be able to work in trenches and excavations with mud and water, cutting or joining pipe both inside and outside, using a jackhammer and other heavy equipment to excavate sites for street construction, continuous standing, sitting, or walking, climbing ladders, crawling under houses and in attics, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and/or driving 6 to 8 hours daily.
