Notifies the contractor and direct supervisor or RCE of project issues and ensures appropriate resolution, documents inspection activities, daily construction operations, and field measurements on required SCDOT forms and reports, reviews subordinate reports, ensures project documentation is properly filed and maintained in the SCDOT database, prepares required construction reports including wage interviews, and maintains construction records through project completion. Performs survey duties on assigned projects to verify line and grade using levels, total station, and GPS equipment to check centerline, slope staking, drainage structures, control points, retaining walls, bridge items, and related features.
