Specifically mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment, and education through group and individual therapy sessions for Chrysalis House clients.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\n\n Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment\n Conduct outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities\n Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy\n Plan and conduct programs to prevent substance abuse or improve community health and counseling services\n Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations\n Evaluate clients' mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans\n Conduct initial family assessments and refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary\n Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge\n Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems\n Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships\n Counsel clients, individually and in group sessions, to assist them in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes\n Provide individual and family counseling services using family management principles to clients\n Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.\n Meet with families, school staff, probation officers, law enforcement, and other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process\n Discuss with individual patients their plans for life after leaving therapy\n Provide collateral consultation as appropriate as well as court testimony as required\n Submit billing and other related paperwork in a timely fashion\n Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third party credentialing for billing purposes.\n
