This role has a primary emphasis on corporate bond trading while also requiring a foundational understanding of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and agency securities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of credit markets, trading strategies, and risk management and will contribute meaningfully to trade execution, idea generation, and overall desk profitability.Key Responsibilities• Execute trades in investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds across primary and secondary markets.
• Execute trades in other taxable asset classes as needed.
• Provide market color and liquidity insights to sales teams.
• Monitor market developments, credit spreads, and macroeconomic indicators to identify opportunities.
• Maintain and manage trading books in coordination with a senior trader within established risk parameters.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal trading policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties, including dealers and institutional clients.Qualifications• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 5 years of experience trading corporate bonds in a buy-side or sell-side environment.
• Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of fixed income products.
• Proven track record of generating trading ideas and managing risk effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess, and other trading platforms.

This role will be responsible for optimizing loan sale execution, managing investor relationships, and identifying best-execution opportunities across multiple investor outlets.The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with agency guidelines, whole loan trading, structured products analytics, and mortgage pipeline management, and thrives in a fast-paced capital markets environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage daily loan trading and execution for Closed-End Seconds, HELOCs, and Agency NOO / Second Home mortgage products.</li><li>Evaluate best execution across whole loan investors, aggregators, and securitization outlets.</li><li>Execute loan sales, loan acquisitions & pricing with approved investor partners.</li><li>Monitor market conditions, spreads, and pricing trends using platforms such as Bloomberg and internal analytics tools.</li><li>Utilize Intex analytics to evaluate structured product performance, collateral characteristics, and securitization execution opportunities.</li><li>Develop and maintain advanced Microsoft Excel models for pricing analysis, loan pool analytics, and execution tracking.</li><li>Coordinate with the lock desk and pricing teams to ensure accurate pricing and delivery strategy.</li><li>Maintain and expand relationships with whole loan buyers and institutional investors.</li><li>Analyze loan pools, pipeline characteristics, and collateral attributes to determine optimal trade structures and execution timing.</li><li>Assist in pricing strategy development for second liens and investment property products.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with production, underwriting, business development, and operations teams to ensure deliverability and investor compliance.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>7+ years of experience in mortgage capital markets, loan trading, or secondary marketing.</li><li>Direct experience trading or executing Closed-End Seconds, HELOCs, or agency mortgage products.</li><li>BA or BS in Finance or Business.</li><li>Strong understanding of Agency guidelines (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac) and investor overlays related to NOO and second home transactions.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced financial modeling and loan pool analysis.</li><li>Experience utilizing Bloomberg for market monitoring, spread analysis, and interest rate trends.</li><li>Working knowledge of Intex for mortgage-backed securities and structured product analytics.</li><li>Experience working with whole loan buyers, aggregators, and mortgage investors.</li><li>Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple trades and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with second lien securitizations or specialty investor outlets.</li><li>Established relationships with investors purchasing second lien or non-owner occupied product.</li></ul>A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $150,000-$175,000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
