Core Responsibilities Engage internal and external physicians and care teams to support understanding of the advanced therapy care modelCommunicate the clinical and operational considerations of advanced therapies relative to existing treatment approaches in a compliant and patient-focused mannerBuild strong, credibility-based relationships with physicians and care teams to support informed awareness of advanced therapy options through educationHelp practices understand when and how to involve the advanced therapy care model so that eligible patients can access appropriate, cutting-edge therapies in a timely mannerEstablish recurring touchpoints with practices to review operational workflows, care coordination, and clinical experiencesPartner closely with internal Operations and Care teams to support identified patients and facilitate appropriate care pathway navigation and care coordinationServe as a consistent point of contact for oncology practices navigating advanced therapy careShare insights and feedback from external engagements to support internal alignment and continuous improvement efforts Credentials & RequirementsClinical or field-based experience with oncology, advanced therapies, or complex specialty care, including exposure to modalities such as CAR-T, TIL, gene therapy, ASOs, BiTEs, or related BMT pathwaysBackground in one or more of the following: Oncology RN, NP, PA, Clinical Nurse Educator, Infusion Center Nurse or Pharmacist, Field Reimbursement Manager, Patient Access Manager, Oncology or Specialty Account Manager, or roles within specialty pharmacy or specialty distribution (e.g., Optum Frontier, CVS Specialty, Accredo, Curascript, Cardinal), or similar positions supporting complex oncology or advanced therapiesRegular experience engaging with oncology practices, infusion centers, or health systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with physicians, nurses, practice leadership and administrationProven ability to excel in an independent, territory-oriented field role that requires proactive outreach, strong follow through, and ownership of day-to-day activity goals Preferred Experience Exposure to cell and gene therapies, or other advanced or complex oncology treatments (e.g., CAR-T, Bispecific Antibodies, Theranostics), including familiarity with adjacent care pathways such as bone marrow transplantExperience supporting patient access, referral coordination, or care navigationComfortable supporting clinical decision-making through education, relationship building, and thoughtful follow upExperience working cross-functionally with Operations, Care Delivery, or Clinical teamsPrior experience in a high-growth, early-stage, or evolving organization CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience and level. In addition to developing a comprehensive program within USC, Shields Advanced Therapies plans to leverage the Joint Venture's infrastructure to deploy a hub and spoke model to extend USC's best-in-class care and advanced therapies service model across the greater Southern California market.
