Participates on interview teams and helps select and onboard staff; works in conjunction with Training Manager to provide training in materials advisory, reference skills, programming and outreach, building safety and security, and customer service; assigns tasks; monitors, evaluates, and provides feedback on work performance; performs and documents quarterly staff performance check-ins. This job requires a Bachelors Degree plus 5 years related/relevant (library, public service, non-profit, retail, etc.) experience, -or- Masters degree in Library Science or related/relevant field, -or- high school diploma plus 10 years applicable experience, with at least five of the ten in successful relevant service at Kent District Library.
