This role is responsible for development engineering of new projects including layout and major configuration options, developing basic technical specifications, developing scopes of work for consultant engineering studies, working with Supply Chain on technical aspects of equipment supply contracts, interconnection planning, fuel supply planning, plant performance estimates, selection of emissions control technologies in conjunction with Environmental Services, and other functions. The Generation Development Engineer - Thermal provides technical engineering support for new power generation projects using thermal technologies, e.g., simple and combined cycle combustion turbine plants, natural gas fuel cells, geothermal power, and emerging energy technologies.
