Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor of Aquatics, Recreation Coordinator of Aquatics, and Pool Manager, a Lifeguard is responsible for the health and safety of pool participants through careful observation of the pools and surrounding areas, quick response to emergency situations, and enforcing pool rules in connection with the prevention of accidents and providing emergency intervention as required. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Recreation Coordinators, Recreation Supervisors, Recreation Program Managers, Deputy Director of Recreation and Parks, or the Director of Recreation and Parks or their designee.
