Candidates should be able to take online and in-person classes, study materials and pass required examinations required certifications may include: State specific DOT courses such as Soils and Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, Surface Treatment, Slurry Surfacing, Nuclear Testing, Hazmat, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Traffic Control, and Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater Management. Certifications preferred for horizontal construction (as appropriate for the DOT-specific project): Soils and Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, Surface Treatment, Slurry Surfacing, Nuclear Testing, Hazmat, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Traffic Control, and Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater Management.
