Under the direction of the Director and/or Assistant Director of the Physical Therapy Department, the Therapy Aide provides essential support to the therapy team by escorting patients, transferring them on and off equipment, and performing patient programs under supervision of a licensed physical therapist. As the only free-standing children''s specialty hospital in New York State, we admit patients with complex medical conditions to our state-of-the-art 94-bed inpatient facility from academic medical centers across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
