This role oversees the receipt, storage, issue, sentencing, and accountability of Hazard Class/Division 1.1 through 1.4 explosives and ammunition; leads and schedules qualified, certified, and properly licensed ammunition transportation personnel and vehicles supporting on- and off-station live-fire training and qualification ranges; and ensures compliance with Navy, Marine Corps, and DOD ammunition safety, security, and handling regulations. Prepare and deliver a rolling two-month Ammunition Transport Schedule (CDRL A011) reflecting planned and conducted transports, delivery locations, estimated number of vehicles required, and overtime needs, supporting an estimated 150 ammunition transports annually (approximately 80 within a 25-mile radius, 65 within a 100-mile radius, and 5 within a 250-mile radius of Base).
