Clinical responsibilities include arterial line management, blood product administration, burn intensive care, care of ventilated patients, continuous intravenous sedation, infection prevention, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, intravenous access, suctioning, trauma intensive care, and ventilator management. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for burn care.
