Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab skills Electrophysiology Lab skills Hybrid OR skills Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab skills Experience with procedures such as ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, and Cardiac Stent Placement Ability to perform Diagnostic Catheterizations and Interventional Catheterizations Experience with IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, and Left heart catheterization Familiarity with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring and Right heart catheterization Knowledge of Rotablator atherectomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, and Watchman procedure Experience with Pacemaker Insertion and Tilt Table Study Ability to conduct Angioplasty, Stent Graft Placement, and Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography Proficiency in medication administration including Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring and Infection Prevention Ability to interpret/manage Dysrhythmias and monitor End-Tidal CO2 Skills in Starting and maintaining IVs and using IV infusion pumps Ability to perform Sheath Removal/Monitoring Familiarity with Vascular Closure Systems and Active Clotting Time monitoring Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Cath Lab. On-call responsibilities include 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month.
