Operating within a high-volume, advanced vascular and interventional radiology suite at a 528-bed tertiary teaching hospital and accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, this specialty assignment features a balanced 36-hour daytime schedule composed of two 8-hour shifts and two 10-hour shifts weekly (shifts falling between 07:00 AM and 17:30 PM, 36 hours guaranteed weekly with rotating standby on-call). Working alongside specialized interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, neurointerventionalists, and radiologic technologists, the IR procedural nurse provides comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care, moderate/conscious sedation administration, hemodynamic monitoring, vascular closure deployment, and post-sheath recovery.
