The successful Asset Manager should have strong experience with asset management, particularly in the multifamily sector, knowledge of financial analysis and budgeting for asset performance, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, proficiency in relevant software tools and systems for asset management, strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, 7+ years of commercial real estate asset management experience, experience across office, multifamily, student housing, or other institutional-quality real estate asset classes, previous exposure to distressed assets, workouts, special servicing, foreclosure-related assets, or complex real estate situations is highly desirable, strong understanding of investment structures including fee simple ownership, preferred equity, and alternative capital solutions, proven experience supporting or leading acquisition and disposition transactions, advanced financial modelling, underwriting, and analytical capabilities with strong Excel proficiency, ability to build reporting processes and communicate investment performance effectively to senior stakeholders, commercially minded, decisive, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced investment environment, and a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. Responsibilities include overseeing and holding third-party operating partners accountable for operational and financial performance across the portfolio, developing and maintaining reporting frameworks, dashboards, and performance metrics, leading acquisitions and dispositions, identifying and implementing value-enhancement, repositioning, stabilisation, and exit strategies for underperforming assets, preparing investment memorandums, asset business plans, annual budgets, and ongoing performance reviews, monitoring market trends, leasing activity, capital markets, and comparable transactions to inform investment decisions, and collaborating with finance, accounting, legal, and external stakeholders on capital expenditure initiatives, leasing matters, and portfolio reporting.
