Collects and documents current health status and medical history and assists in scheduling patient office visits - Reviews patient records, including preoperative records, to ensure completeness and reviews outstanding issues with provider - Demonstrates independent nursing actions based on assessment and problem identification - Under direction of provider, calls in prescription medications to pharmacies and observes and documents patient’s response to pertinent medications - Documents accurate and ongoing assessment of patient’s needs, problems, capabilities, limitations, progress toward goals, and response to care - Triages telephone calls and displays ability to initiate appropriate nursing intervention in prompt, precise, and professional manner - Assists patients and family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respects confidentiality and privacy.
