This role requires achieving and maintaining Level III certifications in water distribution and wastewater collection while performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on system components. The Utility Fitter operates specialized equipment including sewer jetting trucks, vacuum trucks, and other miscellaneous pipefitter tools, and conducts inspections and repairs in confined spaces under a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat. The position also requires participation in on-call rotation and the ability to respond promptly to emergency callouts to ensure continuous system functionality and public safety.  This is an in-person position located at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. What you will do<ul><li>Perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on the water distribution, and wastewater collection, and steam distribution systems.</li><li>Perform operational duties on the water, wastewater, and steam distribution systems to include but not limited to system shutdowns and turn-ons, hydrant flushing and flow testing, and water and wastewater sampling.</li><li>Perform inspections on the water, wastewater, and steam system distribution systems.</li><li>Utilize the computer maintenance management system to create work orders, and record work activities, labor, parts and equipment usage.</li><li>Respond to emerging issues on the water, wastewater, and steam distribution systems.</li><li>Participate in the Loss Prevention System.</li></ul> Conditions of Employment Must pass a pre-employment drug test, random drug test thereafter in accordance with the published policy of Doyon Utilities.
