Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of automotive repair and preventive maintenance procedures, occupational hazards, safety equipment, electrical systems, including alternator, starter, battery; electronic systems, emissions testing/performance, use of tools and fasteners, heat/air conditioning systems, suspension and steering, engine performance, major engine repair, major transmission/transaxle, light duty diesel repair, warranty repair, preventive maintenance procedures, Supplemental Restraint Systems. For maintaining confidentiality of information, work documentation and storage of repair records, maintain inventory of personal-owned tools necessary to complete routine maintenance/repairs to vehicles, judgment, employee may work under general supervision and receives general guidance on work priority with substantial employee latitude.
