A current medical assistant certificate from one of the following organizations: AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), AMT (American Medical Technologists), NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing), NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals), or NHA (National Health Career Association) is required. To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois or Indiana, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.
