This position will assist in the provision of quality medical and surgical care of animals including, but not limited to, performing routine preventative care, administering medications, assessing patient progress, running basic laboratory tests, surgical prep and post-op care, induction and monitoring of anesthetized patients, answering adopters' and fosters' questions about medical conditions and home care, and performing end of life care when necessary. Skills: Ability to perform physically strenuous activities which will require lifting of moderate to heavy weights (up to 40 lbs.),standing and/or bending, pushing brooms and/or mops, and walking and/or controlling dogs and/or cats, use of cleaning solutions and sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
