Coordinates and processes animal intakes, including stray, surrendered, transferred, and seized animals and ensures smooth communication with San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter (SMRAS) staff, County AWS staff, and Hays County Sheriff's Office Animal Control Officers throughout the intake process. The Intake Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for members of the public and Hays County Animal Control for surrendering, reclaiming, adopting, or seeking assistance with animals, ensuring that the intake and release processes are efficient, compassionate, and compliant with department policies and applicable regulations.
