All previous Kennel Tech Essential Duties ○ Cleaning, animal feeding, basic medications, laundry, dishes, animal shelter logs, processing new animals for intake, releasing animals, assisting community members with pet licenses, entering information into the animal reference number google sheet, taking payments, giving receipts, posting found, missing, and adoptable pets on Facebook, entering animals into the Petstablished software, completing foster inspections, responding to emails in the shelter’s general email inbox, taking animals to veterinarian visits. Each shelter area is given a daily checklist that covers the routine tasks which need to be completed every day in that area ○ It is not a comprehensive checklist 2. Enrichment and Interaction ○ Provide basic enrichment activities to animals, such as offering toys, treats, and short periods of socialization.
