Our client is looking for an HVAC Estimator who has some estimating experience or someone looking to get into the estimating field. Assist with other proposals, as necessary.</li><li>Hands over the bidding process to the estimating team once an opportunity is advertised for bid, issued as an RFP, or enters a negotiated contract.</li><li>As required, assists in the negotiation and closing of the deal with the support and under the authority of the Estimating Manager.</li><li>Provide support to the operations team when upstream knowledge and customer relationship is a benefit to the project.</li><li>Develop accurate market knowledge through interaction with contacts for future strategy.</li><li>Develop relationship with customer decision-makers.</li><li>Gain a knowledge of Nicholson’s project experience to leverage in interactions with contacts and project pursuits.</li><li>Ensures that all Nicholson policies are followed (i.e. safety, quality, drug testing, travel, business ethics, etc.)</li><li>Works on Nicholson initiatives as assigned</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or Bachelor Degree in Business Management, or related degree is required, along with a 3 to 5 years within the construction and/or geotechnical fields. AllTek has partnered with a local industrial construction contractor to find an experienced Mechanical Estimator to add to their growing team. Job Details: This is a direct hire role. Will include salary & healthcare. Duties/Responsibilities: <ul><li> Preferably experience in the oil and gas industry and heavy industrial environments. </li><li> Our bid takeoff system is in an Excel format. Must be proficient in Excel. </li><li> Must have the ability to develop project schedules. We use Microsoft projects. </li><li> Very detailed in reading scopes and specifications and developing a thorough and accurate list of clarifications and exclusions. </li><li> A lot of our work consist of self-performing all three disciplines (Mechanical, Civil and Electrical). A general knowledge of Civil and Electrical would be preferred. </li><li> Lead estimator on a three-discipline bid package, you must coordinate with the other estimators to make sure there is no overlap of indirect and direct costs. </li><li> Review all bid packages that come in the building. </li><li> Send packages to estimator support person to load into share file. </li><li> Estimate some mechanical (piping) packages. </li></ul> Education and Experience: <ul><li> 10 years’ experience as a Mechanical estimator </li><li> Have five to ten years of experience in industrial piping experience. </li></ul> We need help IMMEDIATELY!
