Scope of responsibilities may include overseeing the following: decision-making to size and select meters, regulators, and relief valves, to size service lines, design main extensions, manage capital projects from inception to closeout, review public works proposals to identify implications for our facilities, secure permits for work in state road rights-of-way (more complex projects), coordinate with 3rd party engineering firms and survey firms as needed for other permits, review engineering records for accuracy and completeness, coordinate the distribution and integrity management programs, and other areas of responsibility as appropriate. The incumbent will be solely responsible for management and oversight of special projects, including high-pressure pipeline construction, pipeline replacement and asset remediation, resource planning as well as large-scale distribution work, including new construction, reinforcement and relocation activities.
