Officially established in October 2006, the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) serves more than 118,000 Veterans in Central Florida and includes a 120-bed Community Living Center, two Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs/Domiciliary (60-beds located at the Lake Nona Campus and 58-beds at the Lake Baldwin Campus), one Health Care Center in Viera, two large multi-specialty Satellite Outpatient Clinics in Orlando (Lake Baldwin campus) and Daytona Beach, and four Community-Based Outpatient Clinics located in Clermont, Kissimmee, Deltona, and Tavares. Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to: scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling patient appointments and/or consults; entering no-show information; monitoring appointment requests from multiple electronic sources; participating in huddles with other MSAs and/or clinic staff to determine the daily needs of the clinic, monitoring both inpatient and outpatient appointments in areas of responsibility; verifying and updating demographics and insurance information when patients check-in for appointments.
